California Trip 2010

This summer we went to California to see my big brother and his family again. I am hoping to make this a family tradition, every summer. We had planned to go to Lego Land but decided not to go because the little kids (Ally and Liam) weren't quite big enough to go on the rides and get the full experience. So we decided to hit Sea World again. I am so happy we went. The kids had a blast. They had a new dolphin show that everyone loves. Ally love the Shamu Show even more so this year. We also spend the day at Huntington Beach, walking around. They were having an out-door fair type event. The kids got a chance to go on the big blow-up slides. We couldn't get Ally out of them. Her cousin Sierra took her on all the slides at least a couple of times each. Then we headed out to the beach. Ally has become such a fish in the water. If Cody and I weren't holding on to her she would have gone as far as she could've into the ocean. She stayed in the water till she was shaking like a leaf and her lips were purple. She was so mad when I made her get out of the water to warm up. She kept heading straight for the water. I got in the water too and Cody was able to do a little body surfing with Tyler (our nephew). They had so much fun. On our last day was hung out at my brothers house and swam in his pool. We didn't want to come home, we had such a great time and the weather was outstanding.

The kids had such a great time together. Ally really took a liking to Sierra. Ally has really come out of her shell which has been nice for Cody and I. We can relax a little bit more.

Thank you Alexander and Dannica for having us. We miss you and cannot wait for our next get together.

Well we have been trying to get outside as much as possible. As the weather will allow. Ally has gotten into a funny habit of taking off her left sock off whenever she gets a chance. This last picture is of Little Ally falling asleep on her floor. She was playing at nap time and I just let her play figuring that she would fall asleep if she needed to. And well she did. On her bedroom floor. The other pictures are of the boys, Kramer and Newman in the back yard waiting for momma to trow their ball. The other two, of course are of Ally, just to show you how big she is getting. She just looks like a big girl.

We celebrated Ally's 2nd Birthday today with a little family party. It was fun once she got used to everyone which didn't take her too long. I think she had fun though and I hope that everyone that else had a good time. I decorated the dining room in a Tinkerbell Theme which turned out really cute. We had Jimmy Johns' (a really good sandwich place) cater the party and we got one of those good Costco cakes. It was sooo big I had to send some home with everyone. Ally got so many cool gifts I think she was a bit overwhelmed at first but she had fun with them . It was really nice to have the family over and be able to spend time with them, since we don't see them too often. I had Cody take some pictures of Ally playing with Grandma Pat, she FINALLY warmed up to her and they played for a little while. I love to see her playing with Grandma it is really cute to watch them. Thank you everyone for coming we really had fun and loved having you over. And of course Happy Birthday Little Ally. We love you so much.

I cannot believe that our precious baby girl is two years old today. Where does the time go. Here are some pictures I wanted to share with our friends and family. Ally from the day she was born till now. She has and is growing up so fast, she is so amazing to us and of course so beautiful. We are so proud of her. We truly are the luckiest parents to be able to have her in our lives. She is our little miracle baby. We love her so much and I know that our friends and family feel the same.

So today for her birthday we took her to lunch at the Mayan. Crapy food but GREAT entertainment. She had a blast watching the divers and the water falls. Then we took her to Toys'R'Us so she could pick out a toy. By the end she was falling asleep in the shopping cart so we came home and will probably just hang out and play. Next weekend we are having a family party so I will post more pictures then. I am excited to have the family come up here and share her birthday with us. Should be fun.

Anyway... Ally-Pooh.. We love you so much and look forward to seeing you grow.

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. My big brother and his family and my big sister and her family and my dad were able to come and stay with us for Christmas. I have always wanted to hosted Christmas and this year I was able to. It was so nice to have my family here with us. The kids had so much fun and they all got along so great. We had a wonderful time together. I was able to do some Yummy Home cooking which is my Favorite thing to do and I enjoy entertaining. We had a ton of great food and it was nice to be together. We spent time with Cody's family as well, which is always nice to see them and spend time with them. Ally was so lucky and had so much fun with all of her relatives and cousins. Hopefully she'll be a little warmer to family. We hope that all of our friends and family have a wonderful New Year and know that we are thinking of you...

I apologize I have not updated our blog for so long. But here are some recent pictures. We spent Thanksgiving Day with Cody's family. We went to the Marriott for Thanksgiving Dinner. Talk about delicious food. Then we headed to Blayne and Pat's house to spend some time with the family. It was really nice. Ally and Logan played basketball together for awhile. Logan is so good with Ally. It was great to see her play with him. She warmed up to the family, which was really nice. She usually freaks out... I made a Thanksgiving turkey and potatoes for our little family the next day. Yummmm. I love making turkey and having left-over turkey sandwiches.

I did get a chance to have Kiddie Kandid pictures of Ally. They turned out great, even though she was crazy most of the time. We really haven't been up to a lot. We finally got our Master bathroom completed. It looks great. I am so pleased. Now I just have to get up the Christmas decorations up and the house and stuff ready for family. Yippee for me. I will try to do a better job of updating our blog.

We have been having so much fun lately. One of Cody's best friends from childhood Mark Ferrell and his family came over for the UFC fight last weekend. I had to get a picture of Lisa (Mark's girlfriend) covered in our Utes blanket. They are BYU fans and it is just funny. They brought their two darling boys. Manny who is almost 4 years old and Brody their newest edition. He is about 4-5 months old. Kramer is absolutely in love with him. He loves babies and is really good with them. He was watching over Brody as you can see and I had to get a picture.

This past weekend Cody's mom's side of the family held a family reunion. Here are some fun pictures. The first one at the top is Ally giving kisses to Grandma. She loves to kiss Grandma Pat, it is so funny. The next one is of Aunt Kellie holding Ally. Yes I have proof! I was so happy she is FINALLY warming up to Kellie. I feel so bad when Ally cries when Kellie or Brittany come close and want to play or hug her. So now I have proof that she was having fun walking around with Kellie. the next one is Grandpa Blayne with the two youngest grand children, Boston and Ally. And yes it is embarrassing to admit but I assume all kids go through it. Ally has found her nostrils. I think she is fascinated by the two holes she has just discovered on her face. She really hasn't started the "picking" yet but she'll shove her finger up her nose and just hang out. It is hard not to laugh. Then she got in the pool with her Uncle Dave and Cousin Talbie, she loves the water. The next one is Emmie, her cousin giving her a ride on the little kiddie train. She really likes it. When we were in California with my brother he had a quad for Liam and I posted a picture of Ally riding it. She had so much fun and learned how to ride it the first time she got on it. Well Cody and I were and are so proud of her that we had to buy her one. We found her a little Barbie one. Ally is such a fast learner, her pediatrician told us she very advanced for her age, she only has to try something once and she is like a little pro. Yes, I am bragging, but I don't care, it is true. She loves her new toys and Cody and I love to just watch her figure things out. Any-who enjoy the video.

This Father's day was low key. We went to Brick Oven with Cody's family for Blayne's Father's Day and Sunday we went to the Gateway to do a little shopping and had lunch at Cody's favorite restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen. I had to share the card that Ally and I picked out for Cody. I thought it was fricken' hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing in the store. I am all about the funny sarcastic cards. So family beware. He He He. Ally and the boys are so lucky to have Cody for a father. And of course I feel like the luckiest woman in the world, he is my best friend and a wonderful husband. We love you daddy......

Our family went on a family vacation to California to see my brother and his family again this summer. We had such a blast, we went to the San Diego Fair which was huge. Great food or I should say fried food. It was just Alex and Dannica and Cody and I and Liam and Ally. We spent all day trying to check everything out. Ally and Liam had a ball looking at all the animals and eating yummy treats. We also went to Sea world, which happened to be Cody and my and Ally's first time. The weather for both events was perfect. It was close to the beach so we got the nice breeze. I think Ally's favorite thing at Sea world was the Shamu show. She loved all the fish and the whales and sharks. There wasn't enough time in the day to see everything, but we tried to see as much as possible. Thank you Alexander and Dannica for your hospitality and for showing us such a wonderful time. We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again. Ally had so much fun with all the kids and their two dogs, Lex and Mo. Thank you again. We love you guys

This past week we had a little visitor, Austin... Skye's daughter come stay with us for a couple of days. The girls got a long great, it was so fun to have her here.

Saturday we went to BrickOven for lunch for Pat's Mother's day. It Kellie made Pat a quilt with all the grand kids' hand prints on it. It turned out really nice. Then we went over to Blayne and Pat's house and Ally got a chance to play a little more with the cousins. She had a ball outside. She loves to share her treats with Kramer and Newman and Brinkley made a new friend, because Ally shared all of her treats with him. She loves dogs and really took a liking to Brinkley.

I just want to say for the record, that I am the luckiest mother. I have such a wonderful family with Kramer and Newman and Ally and Cody, And of course extended family. I hope that all of you have a wonderful Mother's day.

Well this past week had been an eventful one. We turned in our old Infiniti and got a bigger one, because I need a little bit more room. We love it, it is so fun to drive and our whole family i.e. the boys and us can ride together and it is not too big. We have also been trying to take advantage of the sunny warm days. Ally loves the out doors and tries to go out whenever she can. Ally loves to read books, so she and Daddy sat together for a little while reading their books. It is not often you catch Cody with a book so I had to get a picture. Cody and I caught Ally in the fridge the other day, it was such a funny sight to us that I had to post the evidence.

This Easter Cody, Ally and I went down to Blayne and Pat's house for an Easter Egg hunt and pizza Saturday. Ally had her own Easter basket and she won some neat toys. It was great to see everyone. Brittany and baby Boston were able to make it, along with the boys and Jared. It was so nice to see the baby. He is such a doll.

Easter morning came and Cody had all of Ally's treats and toys all spread out for Ally to play with. I couldn't tell who was more excited, Cody or Ally. We did have a little Easter Egg hunt for her too which was fun. We also dyed eggs, well I did and Ally watched. Cody and I have always wanted to do fun things like that for holidays and now we have a great excuse to act like kids again. It is nice to be able to start family traditions with Ally and Kramer and Newman. The boys weren't left out...they got little white chocolate Easter Bunnies and played with Ally's toys.

This past week Cody, Ally and I took a trip to Dallas to visit Bret and Caleen and their family. Here are some pictures of our trip. Thank you so much Christensen family for the great vacation, we had so much fun with you guys. We did a little swimming and we got a chance to go to the Arts Festival in downtown Dallas. Which was fun, lots of different things to look at. I think that Ally had a great time. She was able to roam around their house (supervised of course) and play with Chewy and Otis (their dogs). It is nice now that she is walking/running. She just seems so grown up and independent now that she can just walk out of a room. Kinda sad. Oh well. All the kids had a great time with her and just loved to play with her. It was nice to see her interact with other kids so well. She is so fascinated by them and loves to watch them whenever we are out and about. Cody and his older brother Bret got tickets to the Texas Motor Speed Way for NASCAR. Talk about redneck heaven. They had a lot of fun and came back slightly deaf from the noise, but well worth it I guess. I am down with just watching NASCAR at home with cold beer, my own bathroom, and a great view of the cars. But how can you turn down actually going to an event like that. Well I am going to stop rambling on, I think I am just trying to compensate for my lack of blogging...So by all means enjoy.................

I am sorry to all that I haven't posted for awhile. We have been a little busy. Here are some of Ally's latest activities. We have been trying to take advantage of the warm weather. Ally is growing so fast. She is now walking a little here and there and all over the place. I swear sometimes she gets these looks and is thinking "why the hell am I walking when you are perfectly able to carry me! Ummmm Hellllooo...." Just kidding. She does get the most fascinating looks on her face. But she is such a character and very entertaining. We are so very lucky. This past week she was able to see the newest little edition to the Christensen Clan. Little Boston Heal, who I have to say is so adorable!! Both baby and mom are doing well I have to report. Congrats Brittany, Jared, Brock, Logan and Dallin. OK well enjoy. Love to all our friends and family, and sorry I have been slacking.

Well I still cannot believe that Ally is a year old now. Where does the time go? She is turning out to be such a beautiful girl inside and out. She is our miracle baby, she brings us so much happiness and I cannot imagine our loves without her. She is so happy and bubbly. She really can stop a crowd with her beautiful smile and her cute personality....and I mean that literally. She has a way of making everyone feel special. So for her first birthday I planned a party with some friends at Fat Cats on Salt Lake. I would like to thank you guys for coming and being such a big part of Ally's life. She does adore you. The guests included Uncle Mark and Aunt Lisa and Manny, and Aunt Caryn and Uncle John and Biyron and Sammy. We bowled for awhile which was so much fun and then had cake and ice cream and the younger kids and the dads went and played in the arcade with them mamma's chit-catted the night away. So all in all I think her first birthday turned out great. Ally had a great time with the kids and the grown-ups. Cody and I are the luckiest parents to have such a wonderful daughter. This was Ally's first Valentines Day so I tried to keep it low key and not go overboard and buy

whole bunch of things, because she won't remember it anyway. Cody bought us a box of delicious chocolates each and Ally didn't waste any time digging in. She loved it as you can tell. We made cupcakes and decorated them. Ally made her own which was messy to say the least. But I think she had fun eating them.. So success in my mind. Happy Valentine's Day to all of our friends and relatives, we love you all!!!!

Well this year for Cody's birthday we kept it low-key. Ally and I bought him some Ute memorabilia, that he really liked. Ever since Ally came into this family, Cody and I have not been to our favorite restaurant Tiburon's. It is not a place for kids. So I got creative and called the chef/owner and instead of going to a 5-star restaurant why not bring it to Cody for his birthday. So Ally and I suprised Cody. We had a beautiful 4 course meal that was delicious. I was so excited that it could be done and Cody was so happy. We had our favorite main course which is the Elk. OMG, it is to die for. Everythign thing they have there is amazing. So Happy Birthday Baby. I love you with all my heart and soul. You are the most wonderful husband and father and my best friend. I hope you had a nice birthday. Love, Love.......

Ok have you seen a 10 month old with that much crazy hair? Ally has been blessed with a full head of beautiful hair from day one. She got her daddy's curls and everything. Everyone she meets thinks she is much older then she really is, and I think it is because of the hair. But her little teeth are coming in beautifully. She has three on the top and two on the bottom. So she did get her two front teeth for Christmas. Ha! Ha! Cody and I are amazed by her everyday. She does new things every day. We are so lucky to have her in our lives. And of course the boys (Kramer and Newman) love her. We hope that everyone had a safe and Happy New Year's Eve and that this year brings much happiness and joy.

Well this Christmas was Ally's first Christmas. We really wanted to start our own Christensen family traditions with her. So we did the opening of one gift on Christmas Eve and eating finger foods/junk foods for dinner and watching Christmas movies all night. Then in the morning we opened stockings and ate homemade cinnamon rolls. YUM! Then we opened the rest of the gifts. Or I should I say Ally, Kramer and Newman opened their gifts and stockings. I had special stockings made up for our little family and a personalized tree skirt to match the stockings. Kramer and Newman were more then willing to help Ally tear open her gifts. I swear they just love to rip the wrapping paper off. Then later that day Ally decided she could climbed all up the stairs, not just the two on the bottom. So she did. With Cody right behind her of course. It was so funny to watch because she just went up them so fast. She hasn't learned how to come down though, that will be next. She learned so quickly and is really good about figuring out things. So needless to say we had a wonderful Christmas together. We hope that all of our friends and family had a wonderful Christmas as well.

This weekend has been a lot of fun and sooo busy. Ally and I went to a family girl's annual Christmas party, which was fun. I was really lucky to get this picture of Kellie holding Ally. Ally is going through the stage where all she wants is her daddy or momma and everyone else freaks her out. I makes me feel bad because I want her to be nice to all of her family and our friends but right now she is really particular who get to hold her and be close to her. I am so glad that Kellie was able to hold her when she was being nice..too bad it was while she was sleeping. But oh well. I told both Kellie and Brittany to sneak on kisses while she was sleep. It was cute.

We finally bought a Christmas tree this year for Ally. We have been putting it off until we had a baby, because I was always afraid Kramer and Newman would play with the decorations or pee in the tree. This year I can keep an eye on them. Cody and I had so much fun picking out a tree (fake and pre-lit is the way to go) and buying the decorations. We decorated it tonight, it feels like Christmas, I love it. Well I hope that everyone had a great weekend as well...

We spent this Thanksgiving in Las Vegas with the Christensen Clan. We had so much fun with all the kids and grown-ups. Here are some pictures we took. We made it to the top of the Stratosphere. Which I would NEVER go up to before we had Ally because Cody always wanted to go on the rides at the top and there is NO WAY IN HELL I would go. But this time I said "oh yeah, lets go" and Cody was surprised to say the least. Now that we have Ally I can easily bow out without being too pressured. I was able to go shopping with Kellie, Brittany, Caleen, Maddie and Talbie and we had so much fun. It was nice to be able to spend more quality time with the family and get to know them better, we would all end up in Bret and Caleen's room and talk all night. It was so much fun. Cody went out with Bret to the casinos at night into the wee hours of the morning after Ally and I were tucked in bed. But I did get a chance to go out with Caleen. We didn't go too far, just to the downstairs "make-shift" bar and had a couple of drinks and just talked. I had so much fun. Poor Caleen, I think I talked her ear off. But I had so much fun. We went back up stairs and everyone came over again and we talked some more and then Cody and Bret went out for a little while and when they came back Caleen and I were burning the midnight oil. So needless to say both Cody and Bret made us go to bed. Thank you Blayne and Pat also. We had a great time. Little Ally was leary of everyone at first and the warmed up to the boys and Bret but not to Kellie and Brittany and Caleen. She did warm up a little to Caleen but not for too long. I felt so bad she is such a pill sometimes. I REALLY want her to come out of this phase fast. As you can see in the picture above she warmed up to Bret. I love that picture they are so cute. I think she was amused by all the kids. Aiden and Chase and Ember and Talbie couldn't get enough of her. They stuck by her side constantly. It was so darling to watch Aiden and Chase with her. I was sad when we had to leave everyone. We had to get back to our little Kramer and Newman who stayed at the Dogs Spa and had a blast as they always do. I must say it is so nice to be home though, with our boys and Ally and Cody.

GO UTES!!! What a great start to the weekend. The Utes BEAT Up on BYU. It was AWESOME We ordered wings from a Wild Wing's 'N' Things and had a lot of snacky things while we watched the game. It was a little close at the beginning but the Utes pulled away at the end to take the win. GO UTES!!!!

I had these taken this past week as a surprise for Cody... How cute is she....

Our family ALL dressed up. Ally was of course the Sugar Plum Fairy "In Training" and I was suppose to be a Sugar Plum fairy...I guess and Cody is suppose to be a bad-ass with all his "tats" . I don't think he need a costume to prove that...

We did "Trunk-Or-Treat" with Kellie and her family and Brittany and her family. It was fun and amazingly relaxing. The above picture is of Brittany and her husband Jared and our cute little Tabbie. From the look on Brittany's face she was happy. I have to just say she has the most CONTAGIOUS laugh ever same with her big sis Kellie. I hear them laughing, even though I have no idea what for and I laugh. They really are wonderful sister-in-laws!!!!!! I am so lucky.

Well the fun just keeps coming.... We made sugar Halloween Cookies. We decorated them and everything which was fun. Then tonight we carved Ally's pumpkin. I know the "face" is pretty generic but we just wanted it to be a simple thing. She stayed up for half of the carving and cleaning and then pooped out. She was very curious about everything that was going on though, and so was Kramer...big surprise there... She went to bed and Cody and I lit the pumpkin for just long enough to take a picture...and well that was fun!!!! The things you have to do when you have kids...We had fun with her and maybe a little more, since she probably thinks we're crazy.

Well, we have had a little too much fun this weekend. Ally decided she wanted to show off the fact that she could fit a whole Nilla Waffer in her mouth AND supervise mommas folding laundry abilities. I think she approved. Good thing the clothes were still warm from the dryer. I think she just wanted daddy to give her free rides around the house.

The past week Ally and I went shopping and I decided to finally buy a deep fryer, so we decided to break it in this weekend. We bought some veggies and shrimp and tempura batter and fried away. Needless to say we never intended on eating ALL that food....my thighs and butt are thanking me for that.... we ate about 2-3 things just to taste and threw the rest away. BUT it was good and fun for us to try out. So needless to say we will probably be using the deep fryer once a year. It was fun though...... back to the diet... we are kind of relieved.

Yesterday Cody, Ally and I decided take advantage of the beautiful weather and to go to the Gateway for a day of fun. We ate at Cody's favorite restaurant, California Pizza Kitchen. We did a lot of walking and did some shopping. We tried little hats on Ally, as you all know I don't really put hats on her because I don't want to cover her beautiful hair. Cody put this little hat on Ally and we had to buy it because she is just too darling in it. Anyhoo, we had a great time enjoying the water show. Ally was mesmerized by the music and the water and the other kids running in and out of the water falls.

Last Sunday night my Grampy past away, I didn't realize what an impact it would have on me since I haven't talked to him in a while. But it has been harder then I thought. It was either Grampy or my Uncle Randy that named me Kali-Pooh. The name has stuck ever since. He and Grammy Grace made the trip from Monument, Oregon to Orem, Utah for Cody's and my wedding which meant a lot to us. He never was able to meet little Ally-pooh. He would have loved her. I have wonderful memories of him when I was growing up which I will cherish forever. My Grampy, One of my most favorite pictures.. Grampy on one of his hunting trips by the fire. The next one is the funeral thingee. I don't know off hand what that is call. BUT if you can read the left hand side, I think that it is one of the most beautiful poems, thoughts, or sayings I have ever read. I cry every time I read it. The next picture is some of the pictures that were at the reception. The next one is of his home in Monument, Oregon. I have so many happy memories of this place. I spend so many summers and holidays there growing up. The next one is of the Monument Motel that my amazing Aunt Jackie built from the ground up and runs. There is another part of the motel that we weren't able to get in the picture. That is were we stayed. The next picture is at the funeral luncheon. Ally with her Aunt Megan. This past week Cody and I decided to get brave and let Ally sleep in her own room and her crib. So we got her room already with a new DVD player and TV. She likes to go to sleep watching her movies, just like momma and daddy. It actually turned out better then I thought. She did so well and loves her crib. Yippee. She takes all of her naps in her crib now instead of momma and daddy's bed and I am so proud of how well she took to being in her own room and bed. This other picture is of Daddy and Ally playing games. We are trying to get Ally to be more of a daddy's girl instead of a total mommas girl. Not that I mind but sometimes I need to get things done. But those two have so much fun together, she does love her daddy.

I had to post it because for the past week our little Ally has been doing the "show your muscles" It is the funniest damn thing. So I have been TRYING to get some pictures of her flexing and FINALLY did this morning. I think it is in the Christensen genes because I think all grand kids (well the boys) all do this. Dallin was doing it this weekend when we went to see Blayne and Pat. It was really cute. I don't know how Ally figured it out though, because she started a couple days before we even saw Dallin.

We had a great day, we went to see Grandma Pat and Grandpa Blayne and went out to lunch with them. It was was nice to see them and spend some time with them. Ally hasn't seen them for awhile and it was nice to see her with grandma. We came home and Cody got a wild hair and wanted to make his momma's homemade doughnut holes and a deep-fried PB&J sandwich. We had one at the Utah State Fair and Cody has been craving them ever since. And let me just say....it was delicious!!!!! But he made them all by himself and there is another picture of our little baby Ally playing with momma's toes for the first time. I think she was fascinated by the fact that momma has toes too not just her.

Utah State Fair

Our Family went to the Utah State Fair over the weekend and had a blast. I think we will try to go again before it is over. We got some really cute pictures of our little Ally. She had a great time, she was so good. The weather was perfect and that always helps. We have to do family activities like this now that we have Ally. The top picture is of Ally getting ready to go into the little farmers market type thing. But it would have been a little better for Ally if she were a little older. The next picture is of us in the goat area. We were able to pet them, even though daddy was really "paranoid" about us touching them. (I still did it) They had all kinds of animals there from little ponies to big horses, to dairy cows to beef cows to sheep to pigs and so on and so on.... They had a lot of different little flea market type booths. I decided to get a temporary tattoo on my ankle. I wanted to see what it would look like for my permanent one. (soon to come, hopefully). We ate great food, and Cody got his funnel cake. He had been wanting one for years now. We keep seeing it on the food network and I swear he starts drooling. But we are going back so that he can get his deep fried PB&J sandwiches. He is so funny. We really enjoy doing things like this now that we have a little baby girl who is curious about everything. She is quite the socialite. And everyone who sees her has to stop and talk to her. She loves it. I am such a proud momma. I am so lucky......................................

Today Cody, Ally and I went to the Gallivan Center for the day. They were having "Rockin' Ribs", where you get to try all kinds of BBQ from different restaurants here in Salt Lake. We had ribs, pulled pork, beans, Cole slaw and other delicious BBQ treats. We had so much fun, it was like we were on one of those food network challenges. We spent the whole day there eating and enjoying the wonderful weather. When we got home all three of us jumped in the pool for a little while and needless to say we are officially pooped. But we sure did have a great day. This was Ally's first time on a "train"/Trax. It was nice to be able to utilize that. She fell asleep in the way there as you can see.

Our baby girl is getting so big. She is a little over 5 months old now and is so curious about everything. I gave her a gram cracker to see if she would like it. Well, as you can see, she does. She is so damn cute, I cannot get enough of her. We have been trying to swim everyday, when the weather permits. She absolutely loves it. Sometimes before daddy gets home from work we will spend time in the pool learning to kick and splash. We have a blast together. She does love to get in the pool with daddy though. We are so lucky to have her in our lives. She is absolutely amazing and we cannot get enough of her. Ally is such a quick learner and pretty coordinated if I do say so myself. I am so impressed with the things she does. She definitely keeps me busy and oh so entertained.

Well I had to take advantage of this shot of Ally reading to Kramer. Kramer is so in love with his little sis, he has to know what she is doing and where she is all the time. She is also picking up the solid foods now. If you can call Rice cereal and mashed up veggies and fruits solids. But she took to the Rice cereal the first try and is learning to hold her own spoon. (with both hands), Cody and I are still at a loss as to whether or not she will be a righty like Cody or a lefty like me. I guess we will just have to wait a little longer. Oh well. Ally's First 4th of July

This year for the 4th of July was of course Ally's first. We really didn't do too much or wander far from home. Cody bought some sparklers for Ally and we did a little family BBQ. We like to stay home on the 4th of July anyway because the loud firecrackers make the boys nervous. So it works out for everyone. It was really nice. I did dress Ally up for the 4th. She looked so darling. As you can see in the picture. She wasn't sure what to think about the sparklers though. I think she was more amused by them if anything. How could you ever deny that little smile. These are some darling pictures of Ally. The first one is of her and Kramer hanging out on the couch and Ally is using Kramer as a foot rest. He doesn't mind at all. He is so in-love with her is is funny to watch him around her.
The other is of Cody and Ally just chillin' on the couch. She is getting so big and so strong. She is now a little over four months old and is eating rice cereal out of a bowl. It took her all of one time to get the hang of it and like it. She loves it and it is so fun to see her eat all of it. I am getting sad that she is growing so fast. If only she could stay small. I never have been a fan of clothing shopping, I always just shop through catalogs because I really hated going to the mall and looking for things. But now that Ally is here, I really enjoy our time together shopping for her and daddy. It really is a blast and she is so good and enjoys it too. Cody and I were able to celebrate our 7 year anniversary this year by going to Wendover for the night. We took Kramer and Newman to the Little Dogs Spa and Resort for the night. This was Cody's first official Father's Day. Ally and I got him a PlayStation3 with some games and the Rock Band game. We gave that to him early so he could play it over the weekend. Today we went to Gateway to California Pizza Kitchen to get Cody's favorite pizza. Then we walked around and ended up at Trolley Square. Trolley Square was a ghost town, they are doing a lot of reconstruction so it was pretty dead and we left. But this is a cute picture of daddy and Ally, and Cody and his new toys. We will probably just BBQ and relax with the boys for the rest of the evening. I think Ally is pretty pooped and so is momma. Happy Father's Day Cody.... I took a bunch of pictures of Ally with her hair in piggy tails. It is getting so long and I love to play with it. But when Cody or I try to take pictures of her, the minute she she's the camera she stops smiling because she focuses on the camera. So this time all I had to say was the word "daddy" or "where's daddy" or "daddy loves you" and her face just lights up. She is so in love with her daddy. She recognizes the words daddy, momma, and ba-ba (for bottle). She is getting so big and she is so smart. She rolled over for the first time two days ago and is starting to sit up. She is still a little wobbly but she is so strong.

We have such a nice diverse little baby girl. She is part Danish and English from her daddy and Bengali from her momma. My little milk-Chocolate baby. We couldn't be happier. For those who know me I was a little worried because when she was born she was a lot lighter. And I was so hoping for a darker, more chocolate baby. But she is so beautiful, I wouldn't change a thing. She is a little of me and a little of her daddy. That is all I ask for.

Yes we are one of those couples that mainly put our baby and boys (dogs) on our blog. Oh well it is fun. I put Ally in her little swing/jumper thing and she fell asleep. I had to take a bunch of pictures of her and here is one of them. I think it is funny and lso cute. And the other is of my pride and joy. I couldn't be happier. (Scratch that..if I was skinner it would top it) Any-Who she is such a happy baby and is becoming so much more vocal. We took her to Sam's Club the other day and she was in the Baby Bjorn and was talking away. It was hilarious She is too young to know her inside voice from her outside voice so everyone in Sams got to hear her having conversations. We are so lucky to have such a good happy baby.

Dallas Vacation

This Memorial Day weekend Cody, Ally, and I went to Dallas to visit Bret and Caleen and their family. We had a blast. It was very relaxing, we got the royal treatment. We did some sight seeing and ate great food and hung out in the pool. We didn't get to do too much sight seeing because little Ally wasn't feeling well and she let us know. But bless her heart she got in the pool with everyone a couple of times. She fell in love with everyone and the kids, especially Ember and Chase could barely leave her side. I wanted to get some pictures of Ember holding her but I did get some with her and Caleen and Ally. We fell in love with Otis all over again it took all of two seconds. He was really good with Ally too.He is such a good dog and so cute, the first night he slept with Cody and I. It was nice since our boys (Kramer and Newman) were aways at the Dog Spa and Resort back in Utah and we missed them. I did get some great pictures of Chase holding Ally. The top picture of Chase holding Ally. He was holding her and she fell asleep right before we were leaving to come back to Utah. I think it is absolutely adorable. THANK YOU CHRISTENSEN FAMILY for WONDERFUL vacation!!! We really had a great time and cannot wait to see you again soon!! It is nice to be back home with the boys though. I think they really missed Ally. Thank you Markelle for letting us invade your room that was so thoughtful and really nice. We love you guys!!!!!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Cody, Ally and I went to a movie and we took a long walk together to Lowes and Walmart (incase you were wondering about the boys). I am posting this video because Ally is laughing for the firs time. We did get more on our other camera but I couldn't figure out how to cut and post just that. For me the best Mother's Day gift is seeing my little girl smiling and laughing. She is my little miracle baby. I am so lucky to have Cody, Kramer and Newman and of course Ally in my life. i honestly couldn't ask for more. Kramer and Newman gave momma kisses which I love and can never turn down. We had a big day from going to lunch with daddy from playing ball with Kramer and Newman to playing with her hair.

We put her Little Einstein play toy together and she loves it. Her little feet don't quiet touch the ground but she is to into the toys to mind. But in these you can see how long her hair is getting and how much she has. She hasn't lost any from when she was born. I think it is safe to say that she has her daddy's natural curl. I did it today and ie curled beautifully. I am having a ball with it. I feel like I have a little doll I can dress up and play with.

One of Cody's Co-Workers gave us a bouncer for Ally. So we had to set it up and try it out. She cannot quite touch the floor yet and she has to have one of the boys' footballs in there to cushin her so she sits up straight but she likes it. We don't put her it it too often but it was fun to try it out. Thank you Candy for the bouncer we love it and I know that once she gets big enough to be in it I will love it more because it will free up my arms. Not that I mind holding her all the time but it will be good for her.

Brittany babysat Ally for Cody and I while we went to the My Chemical Romance concert. Which was BAD-ASS to say the least. It was sooo good!!! Then we decided to go to Wendover to do some gambling and drinking. It was nice to get away and just be with Cody and have some quality time together. I really miss that. We did miss our little girl and the boys but once in a while it is great to just be a couple. But the other picture of Ally is I have to say amazing. It turned out great I think I may frame it. Needless to say I think she had a great time at Brittany's. Brittany if you read this THANK YOU SO MUCH. Cody and I really needed that (my hormones needed that). You are amazing!!!! Ally has the most beautiful eyes. We haven't decided whether or not they will be brown or blue. But they do have a hint of blue. Ever since Cody and I were first married I tried to picture what our little girl would look like. I always had a feeling that my first baby would be a girl and ta-DA. Anyway I always pictured a little milk-chocolate girl with unruly curls and big blue eyes. So we'll see how much of that comes true. But she is so beautiful and perfect as is. I was playing with her hair the other night and getting her hair wet and what do you know.... little curls... like her daddy. I will be happy with whatever. I do however think she would would be so cute with curls. But we will take whatever we get. She is starting to smile and recognize us more and respond more which is so exciting.

Little girl in her bed for the first time...

Here is our little girl in her crib for the first time. She did great I think she likes it. But I noticed that she gets up more in the night because she misses the vibrating crib in our room. So she sleeps in her crib every so often. But she pretty much sticks to her portable crib in our room because it vibrates and puts her to sleep. Which is nice for me to get a little more sleep.

Also she found her thumb.... I am secretly hoping that she doesn't become a thumb sucker only for the reason that I don't want it to screw up her teeth. She has only done it once or twice and sticks to her binki's so we'll see.

Yesterday we had a special visitor....Auntie Caryn. Yipee. She brought lunch for her and I and of course didn't eat a single bite because she was so entranced with little Ally. It was so great to have her here and see her with Ally. Caryn has two young boys who are absolutly adorable, so now we are working on her getting Ally a playmate..Hint Hint,Caryn. She is so good with Ally and loves her so much. It was great to see them together. I hope she comes over more often because she is amazing and I am so lucky to have her in our lives. For all of you that know Cody and I, we love our little boys (Kramer and Newman). They have been so great with little Ally. Kramer has really taken to her and has to be by her side all the time. Newman just likes to check up on her every now and then. But they both are really good with her and they really haven't shown much if any jealousy towards her. They are the best babysitters for her now, they tell me when she needs to be changed and when she moves. It is really cute. And here is a picture of her and her daddy.

Our little girl seems to be growing everyday. She had her first bath the other day at home and did pretty well. Mother and Daughter.............. I finally have a little girl. She is absolutly amazing!!!!

As many of you know we have a new addition to our family. Ally Hashna Christensen was born Febuary 20th at 8:04 am. She weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. and was 17 3/4". She was born with a beautiful head of black hair as you can see from the pictures. Cody and I are absolutly elated to finally have our little one here after all these years and everything we have been through. The boys (Kramer and Newman) are doing well with their little sister. They love her and are already very protective of her. Ally is doing great, she is a very content baby and happy baby. She get more and more beautiful every second. I am still recovering from surgery and doing very well. We ended up staying at the hospital a little longer then expected because I got an infection but I am feeling better and being home helps so much. I do want to say Thank You to Bret and Caleen and the family for the beautifull flowers. They are so beautiful and make our room smell great. Also to Frontier Bank and Silver Ridge Mortgage for the beautiful flowers they sent.

More Baby Stuff

While everyone was on the cruise having fun, we were having a little fun here in good old Sandy, Utah.... Cody put Ally's swing and portable crib together. I know this may sound boring to some but it is really nice to have pretty much everything ready for her homecoming. Cody has really been great to get everything ready for her. I have been kind of an "anal annie" about getting everything ready for her early just in case...

Also here is a really cute picture of the boys and Cody testing the new glider. (another thing Cody put together).

We are getting so anxious and I know I keep saying this but we are so excited we can hardly stand it.

This past week we have had a little visitor. The boys' uncle Brinkley came to visit while his parents were on a cruise. Kramer and Newman have been having a great time. It has been really nice for me because they have someone to play with while I am in bed and not able to much at all. Brinkley is a westie and is very affectionate and so cute. I have to say thank you to Kellie, Brittany and Pat (my sister-in laws and mother-in-law) for the wonderful baby shower they threw for us. It was beautiful. We had a "lite" lunch and played a game where everyone had to guess the size of my belly. Pat had her recliner all ready for me to just sit in and relax.
